NEXT NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING. Tuesday, July 11, 7 PM, Delimon Place Townhouses Meeting Room.
DISTRICT FIVE PLAN PRESENTATION - SATURDAY, JUNE 17. District 5 was established by the Bring New Orleans Back commission, and asked to come up with a rebuilding plan. Since then, the Mayor's office, the City Council and the Louisiana Recovery Authority have said that it is necessary for District 5 to have a plan. District 5 includes Lakewood, Lakeshore, Lake Vista, Lakeview, City Park neighborhood, Park Vista and Country Club Gardens. The District 5 Recovery Group has been working on a recovery plan since January with the assistance of the UNO College of Urban Planning. A draft of the plan is ready to share with the community, and we've been asked to have members of the association attend a presentation and provide feedback on the plan.
