A Message to Our New Neighbors

We are delighted that you have chosen to live in one of New Orleans’ best neighborhoods: Lakewood North and South. It is not only a beautiful place to live, but one which is wonderfully peaceful and safe. You will see neighbors strolling and kids playing, without the concerns for crime which plague many other parts of New Orleans. Our safety and security, along with the beautification projects you see at neighborhood entrances, are the direct result of a very strong neighborhood organization: the Lakewood Property Owners Association. We are a non-profit group, staffed by a volunteer (non-paid) board of more than two dozen members. We invite you to join.

You will receive a yard sign to indicate your membership, as well as a membership directory, mailings of our LPOA newsletter, and the right to participate and vote at our meetings in April and October.

Your support also helps with beautification projects. More importantly, you will also have the satisfaction of knowing that you are doing your fair share to keep our neighborhood safe and beautiful and to maintain our property values.  We need your support!

We also personally invite you to become an active member in our Association. We have an active board, plus various committees for security, beautification, social, and liaison with local government to protect the interests of our neighborhood. Become involved!
